Los Angeles Senior couple creates unique startup social website based on the concept of Karma to acknowledge good behavior, expose bad behavior, and make the world a better place

Sometimes it seems like the world is caught in an endless cycle of acrimony and retribution. From wars and terrorist attacks to petty slights and insults that explode into full-blown disputes and destroy relationships, bad behavior seems to reign. Yet you don’t have to look far to find people who practice kindness and intentionally work to sow peace, friendship and goodwill.

That’s the intention of Darlene and Ken Tipton, aka “Karma Dar” and “Karma Ken”. The California couple created AmazingKarma.com around the simple non-religious concept of “What goes around, comes around.”

Marketing surveys show that over 180 million Americans believe in this Karma concept. 67% of women, 46% of men, and 73% of the LGBT community are true believers.

AmazingKarma.com acknowledges acts of kindness, courtesy, and honesty, through the giving of Green Karma Cards.



AmazingKarma.com exposes acts of unkindness, discourtesy, and dishonesty, through the giving of Red Karma Cards.



Even though the two types of Karma Cards are given for different reasons, BOTH types of Karma Cards are treated the same way when they are registered in your free account. When a Karma Card is registered, it generates a positive Karma Point for that person and ALSO for EVERY person who registered the same Karma Card in the past.

When someone receives and registers a Red Karma Card, it is assumed the person has “owned their actions” and taken personal responsibility for their bad behavior. If they haven’t, then Karma WILL pay them a visit.

KARMA CARDS and COINS

Darlene and Ken came up with the idea for AmazingKarma.com from a family Karma Point game their family plays. A child abuse survivor, breast cancer victor and five-time Jeopardy Champion, Darlene has a long career in radio, television and film that includes working as a Hollywood studio executive and award-winning independent producer.

After 25 years at Fox Cable Networks, she was fired from her job for sending one personal email suggesting the idea of using a crowd-funding portal to aid the long-time girlfriend of one of the American passengers on the missing Malaysia Flight 370. Darlene filed a lawsuit for wrongful termination and it was settled out-of-court. She is funding the development of AmazingKarma.com with those funds.

Ken spent part of his long entrepreneurial career fighting attempts by religious conservatives to shut down a video rental business he founded. His movie, HEART of the BEHOLDER, was based on his family’s true story and won five Best Feature Film awards.

Darlene and Ken married in 2005 and founded Amazing Karma to acknowledge good behavior while exposing bad behavior that we all enable. Some topics they can discuss include:
